Image Management can have many different meanings, but if you are involved with Electronic Check Conversion, Electronic Lockbox or RCK, it means the capture, secure storage, and retrieval of small document images and their associated data.
RDM's
Image & Transaction
Management System (ITMS) has set the standard in Image Management, with secure storage, scalability, and an easy to use web based or report style retrieval system.
ITMS is what Image Management was meant to be.
Here's
how it works
A
document is passed through an RDM EC6000i
series scanner, which can be connected to a POS terminal, PC,
Electronic Cash Register, Server, or other devices.
The
EC6000i scanner captures the image and any MICR or OCR data on the document.
The MICR or OCR information is transmitted to the peripheral device, where it is processed accordingly.
The captured images and their associated MICR/OCR data are sent to RDM's
Image & Transaction Management System in real-time mode, as the transaction is completed, or batch transmitted at the end of the day or shift.
The image is now stored in
ITMS for later retrieval by payment processors, transaction acquirers, merchants or any other authorized user.
Images can be retrieved 24 hours a day, 7days a week, using RDM's intuitive, web-based interface or emailed directly to the authorized user in report format.
RDM's
Image Management Solutions
ITMS, RDM's
Image & Transaction Management System stores images and associated data that have been captured by a scanning device, such as RDM's
EC6000i series.
Retrieval is simple and convenient; all associated data such as account number, check number, routing number, date and amount are stored with the image, and can be used as search criteria to retrieve images from the
ITMS.
ITMS'
robust and full featured architecture make it a fundamental tool for the successful implementation of an image management program.
Some key features include, a user friendly interface for straightforward image searches, hierarchal design to allow for varying levels of image access, and immediate implementation of a reliable, field tested image management system.
In an ECC environment, the ACH processor accesses RDM's
ITMS to request any check images which are required in the processing of a returned check item, as a result of NSF or Administrative returns.
In a Bill Payment environment, the bill payment processor accesses images to speed dispute resolutions.
In any application or environment, RDM's
Image & Transaction Management System can improve transaction processing efficiency, decrease dispute resolution times, and virtually eliminate paper document handling and storage; without the worry of system integration or a large investment of funds and resources.
